TUMWATER – A laundry list of transportation projects make up the city’s six-year transportation improvement program , including a $9.2 million Interstate-5 on-ramp realignment project, a $3 million construction project for an E Street extension and streetscape improvements on the old brewery property.

The city council is expected to hold a public hearing on the transportation improvement program on Tuesday, June 17 at 6 p.m. to invite public comment on the various projects included in the city’s transportation program.

Construction of three different stretches of a Deschutes Valley Trail are also identified as projects on the transportation improvement plan, as are several other projects including ADA accessibility, traffic flow and pedestrian improvements throughout the city. A little more than $1 million of local funds are expected to go towards these pedestrian and traffic projects.
