2024’s first half Thurston County Property Tax payment deadline on April 30

Thurston County reminds residents that the deadline to pay their 2024 first-half-of-the-year property taxes is Tuesday, April 30.

Payments must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30, to avoid late fees mandated by Washington State law.

Taxpayers have multiple convenient options for submitting their payments.

1. Payments can be made securely online. Electronic check payments incur no additional charges, but a 2.35% transaction fee applies to major credit card payments, and a flat fee of $3.95 is charged for VISA debit card transactions.
2. Check or money order payments can be mailed to the Thurston County Treasurer at 3000 Pacific Avenue SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Payments must be postmarked by April 30, 2024 to be considered on time.

3. Payments can be dropped off in the secure outside drop box near the flag poles at the new office of 3000 Pacific Avenue SE, Olympia.

4. For those preferring in-person transactions, payments can be made directly at the Treasurer’s Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Credit card payments will incur a 2.35% transaction fee, with a flat fee of $3.95 for VISA debit card payments.

Late fees will be imposed on payments received after the deadline per state regulations.

Property owners can also opt-in for paperless property tax bills, reducing paper usage and postage costs.
